Today, as most of you know, was my first day of school. I wanted to record it in someway, some how, and decided that this blog would be a good way. Seeing I’m lazy, I’m going to do this in a semi-list sort of way, by period!

-Before School: Pep-fest
Pep-band played for the pep-fest. It went pretty good, and was a good way to start out the day with my band buddies!

-First Period: Spanish I
When I first walked into this classroom, it looked like the special ed classrooms where there aren’t any desks, and just tables in circles. I was being kind of stupid, after seeing my friend Jessica in there, which I know she has Spanish first period with me, asked if it was Spanish I, and it was. I sat with a group I don’t normally sit with. Let’s just say every girl at the table was wearing pink, if you catch my drift. Sadly, I was also being a stereotypical girl, and was wearing pink. There was one boy sitting there, who…. Isn’t gay or feminine, but fit in with the girls pretty well. It was kind of nice to be with a different group. After sitting down I did notice one of my theater friends sitting at another table, but after being welcomed to the table I was at, I didn’t want to just get up and leave. I would like to note that Jessica, for those of you who don’t know, isn’t in my tighter group of friends, we talk more on msn, and just in classes we have together, just so you don’t think, “if she is sitting my her friend then how is she sitting with another group?” Got that clear? Good!

-Second Period: Am. History
This teacher wasn’t as fun as I thought he would be, but we did learn more than the classes who has the other teacher, so that’s good! He likes to bring everything local. We just reviewed some things we learned back in 8th grade, but he told us about what was happening in our town and county, which was all stuff I didn’t know, and upon getting home and telling my mom, she didn’t even know about. There was a fort sheltering everyone who lived in our town where a Burger King now stands!! Isn’t that an interesting fact? Okay for those of you who don’t like Social, then ignore that sentence.

-Third Period: Honors Advanced Algebra
Nothing really exciting happened this hour. My teacher looks similar to Audrey Hepburn (the brunette in Baby Mama.) We went over the syllabus, and got started right away, which is what math is a large amount of the time.

-R.A.P.: Basically homeroom
This isn’t something we have daily, just about every other month to get papers, and sign up for homecoming activities. We got our planners, and other non-interesting forms. Last year I had the 9th grade civics teacher, who retired so we got a new R.A.P. advisor who is Mr. Hoof, a keyboarding teacher. If you’re wondering R.A.P. stands for; Reaching All Panthers, and we just pronounce it rap. Hint hint, our team mascot is the panthers, clever, huh?

-Lunch: That thing where you eat
I was pleased to find that there was a decent about of theater geeks in my lunch period so I could chill with them. My Cucumber Under Wraps was very good, thank you very much!

-Fourth Period: Biology
OUR BOOKS ARE AWESOME! They are HUGE and don’t fit in the elastic book covers. (along with my math and English books, GREAT.) The huge part is not the cool part though, The cover is filled up with a huge picture of a PARROT! One of those tropical rainbow ones! The feathers are all fluffed up, and it’s a view from the back, and it has it’s head turned toward you, and it’s just AMAZING! We watched a boring video on science lab safety that we watched in 7th and 9th grade, and took a test on it, that we also took in 7th and 9th grade.

-Fifth Period: English
I’ve known this teacher since I was in Kindergarten. I also had her for study hall last year. I walk in and she says, “Finally I have you for a class!” Which was a nice welcome compared to everyone else’s polite nods. She cut her hair over the summer and I have to admit she looks quite a bit like Professor Trelawney from the Harry Potter series. The girl who sat next to me (we had a seating chart) was talking into thin air, at first I thought she was doing the classic, talk to a friend who is across the room just like she would be talking to the person sitting right next to her. (HAHAH I just sent a the link I linked too up there ^^^ to Jessica and she thought it actually was the English teacher! Oh now, she thought I said it WAS here, and says it doesn‘t look like her. What a sour puss. JUST KIDDING JESS!) Back to the girl who sits next to me. I later find out she is indeed talking to me. By the time I realize this, she says “Doesn’t her hair look funny?” Which I just remain acting like she isn’t talking to me, since while it did look frizzy, I liked this teacher, and wasn’t about to diss her. Our first assignment was a one page paper about us, she gave us some ideas, and then just kind of let us do what we wanted. Want to know my first to words of the paper? “I’m a blogger.” Then I tied everything in the paper back to that. I also said two of my best friends I met on the internet (referring to Nora and Marissa) and I think she might think I’m some crazy obsessed x-box live fanatic now, since that is what most people think with “internet friends.”

Okay, I just hit 1,000 words. I need to get ready for bed. I will write about my last 2 classes and musical later. Maybe even elaborate more on my other classes. I hope you enjoyed this long-ass post from me!

-The Road to Success is Always Under Construction

Today I feel like I have alot to write. So this will probly be short, cuz it never works like that, I know that by now.

My cat has been peeing in my room. Ew, gross, right? So we thought it was just once or twice, we cleaned it up, it was a little musty but we didn’t have time to do much else. With the summer my room has become unbarebly hot and well, smelly. My mom bought a carpet shampooer, thinking it would help. Well it didn’t. So the last few nights I’ve been sleeping in the living room. That leaves me waking up sore somewhere on my body from the weird sleeping positions. Also, my mom as you can expect isn’t all to happy about this cat. He is a part of the family, so its not like we could just bring him to the vet, and, well you can figure it out. She’s basicly decided we’re getting rid of him. We have to wait a little while since he has an infection on his leg. Since of this infection we haven’t been letting him outside. Well lastnight he snuck out. We haven’t seen him since. It isn’t that uncommon for him to stay out for 40 hours after being couped up for a long time. But of course my mom brings up “Alot of times if cats can sense your getting rid of them they’ll run away.” He deffinatly could sense that energy off my mom. He was avoiding her at all costs and all jumpy when he was within 10 feet of her. I hope he didn’t run away. He’s such a good cat! It was just that a few times we let his litterbox go too long so he needed to find a new spot, and once  a cat marks their territory, you know what happens…

GREAT I’ve already forgotten everything else I wanted to write about. I guess I’ll write about somthing random?

I’ve been still eating really carefully since wisdom teeth removal seeing I’m trying to avoid dry sockets, and just overall pain. Now my stitches have dissolved, to soon and i have this flap and a hollow space. probly going to have to go in, and might have dry sockets. Doesn’t THAT sound fun?

Yesterday was the last day of [insert my hometown’s name here] Days. As every year there was a parade. I’m in band, as I’ve stated before and wanted the pep band points so I went to play in the parade. Since I can’t play for a week after surgery I got to play a percussion instrument. I was actually kind of exited. Get to stand in back, instead of in front with the flutes, and improvise with some instrument with a funny name. When i got there I was handed a Maracca, which I was absolutely fine with. So there I was standing in the back shaking to the rythm of the fight song when Mr. Dewitt comes to the back of the room takes the Maracca out of my hand and gives me another instrument and a drum stick. Yay, right? I get an intresting, foreign instrument with a fun name to write about in my blog. Nope, of course not. Want to know the ever so interesting name of the instrument i played? The block. WOO HOOO! Not. It’s a plastic hollow block open on one side. Atleast I still get to stand in the back and improvise? Nope I get to stand in front my the flutes and keep the beat, the whole parade. It wasn’t all to bad, but it was boring and tiring, thats for sure! Don’t forget I’m in the front, the farthest from the percussionests, so I screwed up the beat a few times. Once durring the fight song I started playing the rythm instead. oops. Oh well, atleast next year I will be playing my flute to the songs that are familiar to me!

I think saying “I have alot to say so this will probly end up being a short blog” unjinxed my jinx and made it so It could be longer! As of now I have 697 words! Its the longest blog post I’ve had in awhile! YAY!

-marina(a very happy one to be exact)

I’m Cliche. Why, you may ask? I just titled my blog with song lyrics. But I love this song (You Belong With me By Taylor Swift). So guess what! EWWW No, get your mind out of the randy gutter! OKAY NO! Not that, one more guess? UGH! Okay do you want me to just tell you? Well guess what, I kind of forgot already, no lies. Okay lies, since I wrote THERE IS A POINT TO THIS BLOG BUT I DON”T REMEMBER IT! but then I started doing the GUESS WHAT to take up space before that whole “there is a point to this blog but I don’t remember it” thing. OKAY! TO THE POINT!

So as many, most, or all of you know; I’m in band, and I play flute. I’m also in ninth grade, which means I get/have to do highschool band things that are fun/boring. I enjoy being part of pep band since it is a small group of people who aren’t complaining about having to be there. Well on Monday, yes Memorial day, the day schools don’t have school. Well I get to show up at school a WHOLE 10 MINUTES late! WOO! No not really since i’d rather being sleeping at that time. Oh and not to mention I get to bike the mile plus there. So yes I get have to be at school at 8:15AM to go on a hot sweaty bus to go to a town 7 miles away to play for 10 minutes before their memorial service, after that back on the sweaty bus. Once we get back to school we will have some time to venture down to a local gas station and get donuts and such, which is great! Right? Not if your an underclassmen without a drivers license or a car. If i’m lucky I might be able to fetch a ride with Logan or Jon (yes I know these names are pointless to you but BOO HOO [wow am i being bitchy or what?]) So then around 10 we play for the memorial service at our school for 10 minutes, then BACK ON THE BIG YELLOW BUS, to go to the elementary school that is a town over and takes about 10 minutes to get too. Once there we play through out the whole ceremony. Then FINALLY, they feed us! FOR FREE! Exiting, right? Not when it’s hotdogs and your a vegetarian.

Then on the 29th we’re playing at Graduation where we have to dress up and watch people to get pieces of paper tied up in ribbon. PLUS we don’t even get to play Pomp and Circumfrances. So both of those are required and I kind of wish it was just pep band cuz then that means less imature people will be there.

Next on June 14th PEP BAND!!!! Is playing in the parade for [My town’s name here] Days! I was genuinly exited for this, since we get to play the fight song, tequilla, land of a thousand dances, and louis lois! Until I remember I’m getting my wisdom teen removed just 5 days before this. So I ask Mr. De Witt how long you can’t play after having wisdom teeth removed, he said 14 days, which makes me sad :(. So I told him what was going on and asked if I could do cymbals or cow bell or SOMTHING since the parade plus homecoming = a letter to go on my letterman’s jacket! He said he’d have me carry the banner that says we’re the band. WOOHOO :(. Well I’ll get the points for lettering either way I guess I just won’t be able to play with the other fabulous flutists.

Okay I’m actually thinking that these will be fun (okay maybe not graduation…) but the rest will, but it seams like on the 2 I should geniunly be exited for there is some reason to put a damper on. I got to get dressed now since I’m babysitting in 20 minutes!

As always, Under Construction

Ohh, I’m sorry! I hope you can forgive me for being stuch a bad bloggist the last few days. I have no excuses really. Well I do for last night but other than that it’s just lazyness. On Wed. I had a pretty good day at school considering the imature people who go there only since the law requires it. After school I had art club which is fun and brightens my day. After art club my bff and her mom brought another art clubian and me out to eat at a Thai restraunt. It was amazing! I had like 15 cheese wontons! Her mom after dropped me off at home. I had a concert that night and about 40 minutes until I had to be there. Walking up to the door lied a Girl Scout thin mint box. I was very confused in why it was there seeing I quit Girl Scouts last year. But low and behold it was my package from Nora! I grabbed it and ran inside with a scissors in hand ready to rip it open, when my mom stops me and makes me make some calls to people she said I’d return calls to. (now i am glad she did since otherwise I wouldn’t of recorded the opening!) I then grabbed the box, scissors, and my cammera and ran up stairs. I got dressed for the concert, did my hair, and turned the cammera on. I opened the box and it made me ooooh so happy! As soon as I was done opening it, it was time to leave for the concert. I had to bring the paper airplane and the regular letter part of the package in the car so I could read it on the way there. Once at the concert Mr. Dewitt assigns “little band” (a group of 15 9th graders who aren’t in choir) chairs to set up after Jazz Band played. We where told it was a 10 minute intermission inwhich we had to set it up in. I then as soon and fast as possible escape the group and talk to my 10th grade friends in Symphonic Band. I then watch the concert with my buddy Sammy, Hiedi, and Andre (some of the few 9th graders I can stand to talk too). When it comes time for Jazz Band to play we get ready to set up. As soon as they finish their 3rd and final song we start setting up. I, along with 2 other girls where in charge of the first row which we finished fast so we started helping the larger rows. It went good for the first 5 minutes. Then when starting to help with the 5th and last row I start looking for the people who are in charge of it and who know how many chairs and stand need to be in it. They where NO WHERE to be found, looking around more, out of the 15 people in little band there are 5 left that are still setting up. So we have to ask the band director who is busy enough how many is needed. Then the 4 girls and 1 boy left start running like chickens with our heads cut off trying to fit all the chairs and stands in, along with all the percussion equipment. By the time we are done it has been 27 minutes, somthing that could of been 10 IF the everyone would of actually helped. The 5 of us are pretty ticked and sweating from the hot stage and from running around with chairs and stands. We then get into the band room to line up and find all of symphonic band, the people who are just in “big band” and the rest of “little band.” I poke one of them and say WHERE WERE YOU???? and she said our row was done and all the stands where set up so I thought we could leave. They where on the fifth row which when she left had 12 chairs and 0 stands out of 34 chairs and 17 stands. Lets just say that was not an enjoyable concert! After the concert and the ride home where I complained and, may I say, Bitched the whole way home about it. I then got home and calmed down. I finished Paper Towns *Squeel* and Started One Wish, a book sent by nora. i’m almost half done at the moment! This morning when my mom woke me up. My cat was laying in front of me and  was holding Burt (a moose in Nora’s package). My mom picks up Burt and said, “I could bearly pick out which one was the cat and which one was Burt.” It made me laugh.

Sorry for the depressing rambling after just having short crappy posts!

So I’m in speech. This is my 3rd year in it. The last 2 years I loved it. But this year, i’m trying a new category, and I don’t really like it. I’m in OO. It’s basicily persuasive.

Note: Speech a  highschool contest. There are 3 rounds. Each round you have a set time to be in a set room, and they’re are 4-7 people in that room, who are in the same category as you. You then take turns giving your Speech. Then you leave the room, and repeat 2 more times. Each round there is a judge who gives you a 1, if your the best, and all the way down to 5, which is the worst. Even if they’re are 7 people in the room the lowest score you can get is a 5.

So for Subsections they’re are 7 ppl entered in my catagorie. 6 of those people will go onto sections. I am yet to place last in a meet, so i will hopefully go on, but if i don’t I will be an alternate, and will end up going to sections anyway, and possibly not even compete. So I’m sick of OO and I really don’t feel like competing anymore. I’m ready for the season to be over.

Okay rant over, its 4 min. past my bedtime and I still have to go to sleep. Well its monday, and I don’t have a bedtime, but if i did it would be 9. Shit I missed the new John and Kate plus 8. Oh well

Off to bed
